The Association produces two meetings each year in Texas that bring clinicians and exhibitors comparable to any of the notable meetings in the nation. They keep you informed of ideas, techniques, products, and services that directly affect our businesses. The DLAT meetings provide the opportunity for all the Continuing Education Credits you need for recertification or registration.
DLAT Position Statements
MISSION ... The Dental Laboratory Association of Texas is a non-profit, professional organization dedicated to serving the interest of the dental laboratory industry.
VISION ... The goal of the Dental Laboratory Association of Texas is to uphold and improve the standards of dental technology: providing state-of-the-art technological and managerial education, providing a format for professional and ethical growth, and creating lasting fraternal relationships.
Value to You as a Member
The value of your association membership is determined by the benefits you use and how involved you become with the programs. Members will tell you they gain far more value than the cost of their dues.
Joining DLAT
If you’re not a member yet, you can download the Membership Application / Renewal form, and send to the Executive Director. In addition to the many Benefits of Membership above, your membership fee will be largely offset by savings when registering for DLAT Conferences.
Help DLAT and Yourself!
You can promote your Association and receive a reward. For every new member you recruit, you will receive a $50 credit towards your membership dues or you may choose to apply it towards your new member’s dues. Just have the new member note on the application that you invited them!

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS
When are dues due?
Membership is based on the calendar year - January 1 to December 31. Please submit all dues by January 1. A grace period is extended until January 31.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes. DLAT will accept a credit card payment with Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Simply record your card number and expiration date on the appropriate lines on your Dues Statement and mail or fax it back to DLAT.
Are my dues tax-deductible? What are my payment options?
DLAT tries to offer as many payment options as possible.
Are my dues tax-deductible?
Federal law prohibits taxpayers from deducting membership dues that are attributable to lobbying expenses. Accordingly, only that portion of your dues not attributable to lobbying activities is deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Each year, DLAT provides you with a reasonable estimate of the non-deductible and deductible amounts of your dues on your statement.
I am retired. Do I still pay full dues?
To be eligible for the Retired Membership status, you must be fully retired (not earning an income from your knowledge of dentistry) and have completed an Affidavit for Retired Membership form. Retired members receive a 75% discount off of the regular DLAT dues.
I only work part-time. Do I quality for a discount?
Currently, a part-time dues category has not been established.
I’ve been a member for quite some time. Do I quality for Life Membership? If so, what would my
dues be?
Life Membership is awarded to those who are over the age of 65 and who have maintained membership in DLAT for 30 consecutive years or 40 total years. Dues are currently at 25% of
regular dues for Life Membership.
